product overview (from the huzz spec). last updated: 11-04-2026.

overview

dating apps already promised you the moon. huzz focuses on something simpler and more concrete. you get accounts tied to real people, profiles you can actually read, a discovery feed where your choices matter, filters that narrow who appears on your deck, mutual matches that unlock private chats, and a separate live mode when you want a short, random session with another signed-in user.

live pairs timed interaction, real-time text, and—when enabled—camera and microphone through secure real-time infrastructure so your session stays between the two of you, not the whole web.

the point is alignment: what you want to see, who you want to talk to, and tools that support both—without turning romance into a spreadsheet.

what huzz is

huzz is a mobile-first dating and discovery product on android and ios.

core flow

  1. install the app
  2. create or sign into an account
  3. complete onboarding (profile + preferences)
  4. enter a home-style discovery experience

profile as the center

your profile is your identity within huzz:

discovery logic

built-in systems

account and getting started

authentication

onboarding

routing logic

home and the discovery deck

card-based experience

profile highlights

photos front and center with overlay: name, age, location, optional badges (verification, status).

filters

users can refine discovery by country / city, relationship intent, status fields, and additional preference rules.

actions

pass, like, super like (stronger signal).

smart discovery

deck respects user preferences; optional presence indicators (e.g. last active).

matches and what happens after

match creation

when two users like each other, a private thread is created—only those two users can access it.

match chat features

ongoing conversation, planning and coordination. optional enhancements: translation tools, conversation prompts, date planning tools (future).

safety controls

blocking, reporting, thread-level enforcement.

live random sessions

purpose

live is designed for spontaneity, separate from matches.

how it works

  1. user enters live
  2. opts into matchmaking pool
  3. system pairs two active users
  4. session begins with a shared timer

session features

design principles

short sessions (~1 minute), low pressure, clear entry and exit.

security

session-based access credentials; only active participants can connect.

profile editing and visibility

editable: photos, bio, interests, location, voice intro (optional). keeps profiles current, improves match quality, builds trust.

additional controls: notification settings, visibility preferences, verification (if available).

settings and account controls

notification preferences, account management, sign-out and access control. design principle: clarity and visibility—users should always know what is active.

safety, moderation, and trust

wingman, spin, and social layers

optional modes: group rooms, party-style mechanics (e.g. spin games). purpose: social discovery and entertainment. these features complement, not replace, consent and one-to-one clarity.

admin, staff, and operations

separate access: admin/staff use dedicated tools, not visible in normal dating flow. capabilities include account review, support handling, age verification processing. operational power is isolated from user experience.

technology overview

privacy and legal

this document is not a privacy policy or legal agreement. typical data categories: account data, profile content, messages, session metadata, device information, operational logs. users have settings, blocking, and account deletion. you must publish a privacy policy and terms of service that reflect your regions and data practices.

where to download

when live, include google play store, apple app store, and optionally samsung galaxy store. use official store badges, correct package name, and reduce impersonation risk.

support

provide a monitored support email or portal and expected response times—silence erodes trust.

final note

huzz is built around a simple idea: alignment over volume. not more profiles. not more noise. just better matches, clearer intent, and tools that respect both.
